Cadpak PL is a light duty Foil Barrier film used where very low oxygen and moisture levels are required. It is silver in color with red Mil Spec printing. It is used extensively in military applications where a cost-effective, light duty, high barrier material is required. Typical uses are vacuum crating and pouches for moisture/oxygen sensitive items. Product protection inside export crating is another common application for this film.

Converting:

Cadpak PL can be converted in many ways: 2-seal pouch, 3-seal pouch, side gusset, stand up pouch and tubing. Features include: recloseable zipper, tear notch, round hang hole, and sombrero hang hole.

Application:

This Heavy Duty white film is one of the strongest mil spec films that Shannon carries. The Tyvek exterior layer provides the strength, the foil layer provides the barrier, and the Poly layer enables it to be heat-sealable. A typical application is for large bags that must carry a heavy load. The film does not stretch and is very strong.

Converting:

Film is converted in many ways: 2-seal pouch, 3-seal pouch,stand up pouch and tubing.
Features include: recloseable zipper, tear notch, round hang hole, and sombrero hang hole

This FDA approved material is also available without the Mil Spec and is therefore unprinted (FFP500).

Converting:

It can be converted in many ways: 2-seal pouch, 3-seal pouch, side gusset, stand up pouch and tubing. Features include: recloseable zipper, tear notch, round hang hole, and sombrero hang hole. The FFP500 can also be surface printed or reverse-trapped printed. It is available in web widths to 60”

Application:

This moisture barrier film meets the MIL PRF81705 Type 1 specifications as it appears on the Navy Qualified Products List (QPL) for low MVTR and maximum physical strength. It provides full protection from ESD, static fields and tribo charging. The film is strong and light weight and is suitable for vacuum packaging with nitrogen flushing

Converting:

It is usually converted into sheeting, tubing, and 2-seal pouches with Faraday Cage.

Laminated PET/LLDPE

Application:

This clear mil spec film has moderate oxygen and moisture vapor transition rates. The Polyester layer makes this film non-extensible while the Poly layer enables it to be heat-sealable. The film does not stretch and tears nicely at the tear notch. The film has blue lettering on it denoting the manufacturer and military specification. This film is also available without the mil specification (clear – no lettering) for non-military applications

Converting:

Film is usually converted into sheeting, tubing, 2-seal pouches, and 3-seal pouches.
